Walk through colorful gardens lined with towering trees, sit by the fountains and cascading waterfall, enjoy beautiful views, and feel the peace of the grounds. The grounds feature a fountain and colorful flowerbeds, offering a tranquil escape from the energy of one of the world’s largest cities.
Take a guided tour led by friendly volunteer missionaries. You’ll be guided through interactive displays, get an inside look at the history of the São Paulo Brazil Temple, and have a personal experience with Thorvaldsen’s Christus.

Most visitors spend 30-60 minutes exploring at their own pace. Guided tours take approximately 45 minutes. You’re welcome to stay as long as you’d like in the gardens and grounds.
Walk-ins are welcome during all open hours. However, we recommend booking a guided tour in advance if you’d like a more in-depth experience, especially during peak tourist season.
Yes. The temple itself is sacred space reserved for Church members. The visitors’ center is open to everyone and offers exhibits, films, gardens, and opportunities to learn about the temple’s history and architecture.
Casual, comfortable clothing is perfectly appropriate. We only ask that you dress modestly out of respect for the sacred nature of the location. The grounds involve some walking, so comfortable shoes are recommended.

If you only have 15-20 minutes, we recommend walking the main garden path for temple views and stepping inside briefly to see the visitors’ center.

Regular worship services take place at local meetinghouses rather than the visitors’ center. We’re happy to provide information about service times and locations if you’re interested.
